To encourage people in Australia to join the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry “Strength to Give” initiative
Are you up for it?
Every 40 minutes someone in Australia is diagnosed with blood cancer, and for many, a blood stem cell transplant from a complete stranger is their only hope…
YOU COULD BEGIN SAVING LIVES TODAY
If you are of Polynesian heritage – New Zealand Maori, Fijian, Samoan, Tongan, or come from the Cook Islands, Tuvalu, or any other Pacific Island nation, sign up to the donor registry, you can make a vital difference to the lives of Leukaemia sufferers from those backgrounds.
Our target is males 18-30 years of age, as young men often weigh more, they literally have more to give.
However, all potential donors are welcomed, and ethnic diversity is critical as most patients are more likely to find a match with a donor from the same ethnic background.
THE CHALLENGE PROGRAM
This Challenge Program is very easy. All you need to do is REGISTER to be a BLOOD STEM CELL DONOR with the donor registry and advise themthat you are a rugby club supporter and name your Club. That is it!
At the end of the competition period the winning Club will be announced and it is planned that Power House Rugby Union Club will then challenge that Club to a Rugby match at the end of the playing season. If Power House Rugby Union Club wins, it will challenge the Runner-Up.
